Apparently, it's going to rain for the entire weekend. I was planning on going to Nantou again, for the Bauhaus exhibition. But not too sure if it's worth all the trouble. Otherwise, I suppose I could stay home and read... It now seems to me that I should have purchased the iPad so that I… Continue reading Athens in my dream

busy like an emperor
There's a phrase in Chinese called 'busy like an emperor'. Well, it's not literally that, but if I were to translate '日理萬機' (Je li wan ji), that'd be my translation. Literally, it's supposed to mean, 'dealing with ten thousand political tasks a day'. Typically it refers to a public figure. Hence, the emperor. I'm using… Continue reading busy like an emperor
journal
Today, I decided to wake up an hour later than usual. Feeling good. Somehow I've numbed myself since the accident. For it seems to me that one can never really plan anything. So why bother. Apart from the salary, I had no idea what it'd be like to be here and work here. Absolutely no… Continue reading journal
in the middle of nowhere
This is the worst week of the month--namely, the very middle of the month. The end of the month is always the best, because you get to change the calendar, so there's something to look forward to, at the very least. The beginning of the month isn't bad either, for you'd get paid. And then… Continue reading in the middle of nowhere

the criterion channel
Just subscribed to the Criterion Channel. Watched three movies already on the weekend. Finally life isn't filled with just a bunch of mundane nonsense fed to you by youtubers and the netflix conglomerate. Favourite song of the month: Les Temps est Bon. Fitting mood. Anyway, the subscription is $99 USD/month. I gotta first figure out… Continue reading the criterion channel
what is it about avocados?
Today I changed the title of the blog to 'Not An Avocado Life'. A tiny explanation here. For a while now in my life, I've been pursuing 'The Avocado Life' unconsciously. Avocados seem to be the thing that all influencers love. It's nutritious but pretty and tastes fatty and not healthy. It has to do… Continue reading what is it about avocados?

Moving on
Heard some gossip from a friend. Feels like everyone is moving on so fast, leaving me far behind. I always think, "I must win." --over whom or what, not quite sure. But I must win, that's all. But then, but then, sometimes I doubt that I'm that special. That I could actually "win," in any… Continue reading Moving on
Everything Everywhere all at once. 虎頭蛇尾。不後悔看,只是溫馨結局我不買單。 這次在台北除了眼鏡和一包松本清洗髮精,基本上錢都花在食物上了。這次的台北,因疫情的關係,感覺是冷清了一些。
